My daughter has managed to spill nail polish remover on one of her brand new Ugg boots. Any suggestions for removing this or improving the look of the boot? The colour is now faded. Would hand washing do anything to improve this?

I do not believe there is anything that can be done except take them to a professional shoe repair shop. Just remember, not all shoe shops have really experienced people so choose carefully.

It has stained the boots. I would bring it into a shoemaker to see if it can be dyed.
Use a permanent marker the same color and try to cover the stain.
I feel like a pro would only to be able to help you get it back to as close as normal... those stains are vicious :(
