My glider chair moves just fine when nobody's sitting in it. Starting a few weeks ago, when an adult sits and rocks, the rearmost tooth (rightmost in the photo) bumps against the locking bar. I don't see any loose screws or any other reason for the locking mechanism to be pushed lower when someone sits down, so I'm not sure exactly what's causing it or how to fix it. Any ideas?

You might need to lubricate it.
It looks very clean (no rust or such), which was my first thought was some rust on rust issue when being sat upon.
What is the brand? I am the gal who is always calling the company to ask questions! They are usually very kind and save me from monkeying around with things the wrong way and causing more trouble...as I am want to do if left to my own devices!
To find the contact, I would just Google the brand name and the word contact!

i do not know if you have found a solution to this problem but a friend had a similar problem with a glider and she took her chair to a Sears Repair shop and they fixed her chair for a small service fee.
This may not work for you but you might give them a call and see what they tell you.
There may also be furniture repair shops in your area that could help you out as I believe you will have to remove the bottom of the chair to perhaps replace a part that has slipped or needs replacing.
You will find several to call if you Google furniture repair shop with your zip code.

I had the same problem. I took heavy vice grips to the post under the cog bracket and gently bent it down. It didn't take too much effort and provided just enough clearance. Did both sides.
I had the same issue, when I push against the chair and rocked it, I noticed the closest hing was loose.
