Ringworm Treatment?

Does garlic really work for treating ringworm? I have had this ringworm for about 3 years now. Please help me anyone.

Ringworm is a fungus, and thus should respond to vinegar treatment. One person I read about found she had to scrub the top layer off of it before the vinegar could get in to work on it. Soak in straight vinegar twice a day and see what happens.

It is contagious, and because it itches it gets under your fingernails and from there carried to other parts of the body.

Some people swear by probiotics taken internally, such as yogurt, kefir milk, or probiotic capsules, to prevent recurrence.

Are you sure it is ringworm? That should be easily treated. Eczema is a different story and will persist intermittently even with treatment. Check this out: www.ehow.com/facts_5125036_eczema-look-like-ringworm...

Good luck.

I am not so sure you have ringworm because you mention you've had it for three years. That seems unlikely because ringworm is highly contageous and most of the people you come into contact with would probably be getting it too. It could possibly be eczema.

Here are two links with natural remedies and the second link shows a photo of ringworm:

Here are two links regarding natural remedies for eczema and the second one has a free ebook you can download:

There are a few different types of eczema so you'll want to search to find photos separately. Among a couple other types there is Asteatotic Eczema, Nummular Eczema and Eczema Herpeticum.

If it is a ring worm, get a black walnut and cut it in half and rub it on the area at least three times a day it should go away.

Use a cream for ringworm/jock itch. Use the blow dryer to dry the cream. Moisture makes ringworm worse. The heat from the blow dryer will kill the ringworm. Hopes this helps.
