Sealing a Spray Painted Countertop?

I really want to spray paint my bathroom countertop with the Rust-Oleum stone spray paint. I have read so many different ways to seal it that I'm totally confused as to what to use. I've seen recommendations for water based poly and then acrylic and epoxy.

I hear you wanting to make this a DIY project, but I can tell you from experience, unless you have tackled projects like this successfully, it is much better to have a pro come in and do it for you.

There are too many variables with these kind of products and how they do (OR WORSE, do not adhere to counter tops).

I would ask around to friends and family and look at Yelp reviews for refinishes and have the one with teh best reviews do it. It might cost a little more but it will cost less than if it fails and you have to replace the entire thing.

That is just my two cents worth and way of trying to protect you from a DIY fail. Been there, done that. Was sad.

This is a hard one!!! Because you used a textured spray,no matter what sealer recommended this counter is prone to chipping and peeling with textured spray when in use.Good luck!

I would go to Home Depot or Lowes or an store like that and ask one of the employees who work in that department.
