It's worth checking on eBay.com to see if there is a market for selling them to people making recycled crafts.

You can sell them in batches on eBay to crafters. They often need to be bagged or sorted in some way. You can also take them to a recycling center that pays for metal and sell them that way but it will be only the scrap price of aluminum.
I don't know about places to sell can tabs; however, I DO know that the Ronald McDonald House is always accepting donations of can tabs. They then take them to a recycling place and use the money to help fun the House.

I agree with the previous poster. I think you should donate them to a charity. I don't believe you can sell them; charities collect vast quantities, and sell them to recyclers. And by vast quantities, I mean hundreds of pounds.
Everyone, collect the whole can with the tab included. The tab is the same aluminium as the can. Thus paid same per pound. This is such BS to only collect the tabs. Urban myth!!!!
Some people do buy just the tabs for craft projects. If you look on eBay and Esty, you see them for sale.
But you are absolutely correct, it is an urban legend that they are worth more than just recycling the can.
