You're on the right track. This Queen Anne dresser with mirror is from the 1920s. This design+size was very popular because it looked good and is very functional -- still true today! With that in mind, and assuming the piece has original hardware, no obvious blemishes, no odors, and is level with no loose parts, I would price it at $150 USD.

Your dresser has machine made dovetail joints. The name "dovetail" comes from the appearance of the joint, resembling the triangle shape of a bird's tail. These machine-cut dovetails are as strong and long lasting as the hand-made joints, and became the standard of better American furniture ever since the late 1890's.

I would not call it Queen Anne Style Dresser, because if Queen Anne furniture has legs, they are mostly cabriole legs, like this Walnut Vintage Queen Anne Style Dresser with Mirror www.lot-art.com/.../17lex215m354-walnut_vintage_queen... Google "Queen Anne Style Dresser" and see the pictures.

If there is no manufacturer's mark, then it is very difficult to find out who made this dresser.
I think the time period of manufacture of your dresser is 1900-1950, most likely the first quarter of the 20th century.

It's cheaper to have local delivery or pickup. I think the value of your dresser would be closer to $ 250-350, but the price depends on the demand in your area.

Local places where you could sell your antique dresser: antique fair, antiques mall, antique store, consignment store, flea market, local Craigslist marketplace, local Facebook marketplace, local antiques dealer, local auction house, local newspaper ad, pawn shop, yard sale.

Check the bottom for any markings. From looking at it it just looks like a regular old table which could have been mass manufactured; besides it looks as if the varnish has been water damaged on one side.

Random pedestal oak tables seem to be selling new for $229 but you can probably expect a lot less for it, maybe $150 because it lacks chairs and is not 'new'

I cannot make out then name, but the piece looks well made and in good condition. Google the name and see what comes up on the internet, particularly from auction houses and eBay.

Hi. Thanks for sharing these! I haven't seen these in ages. I wish I could remember the year (60s maybe or early 70s) but I do believe they belong together (bought as a set, both Sligh Lowry), which is a Michigan brand.

This is a French Providential style and of all of the desks they made, this particular style was the one that did not hold its value.

The half moon (demilune) versions still seem popular, as are the ones with the hollywood regency legs (curvy). This version is kind of the plain jane one.

I have not found a single sold version of this set to give you today's market value, and some of them were asking as low as $35. They may fetch more in a city where this style is still popular and there are few around. I am giving a perspective from Pittsburgh where they are plentiful and not getting much

Ebay SOLD can give you today's market value if one sells, as can Worthpoint, or EBTH or any of the other major online auction sites.

You can search it by French Providential or 5 drawer to try to find a sold one. Once you find a sold one, that will be today;s current market value!

Sligh Lowry has always represented high end furniture but not all styles have held their value. This is a nice desk and if in good condition it may be valued at $200-$500. This type of item should always be appraised before listing it for sale.

• You say the leather is in good condition so that is a plus as this is what usually devalues antique/vintage furniture with leather tops.
• You did not enclose a picture of the marking/brand and that is crucial in trying to determine the age of the desk.
• You can check this site for pictures of most of their logos/brand names (about middle on right) to see if yours matches any of those shown. It looks similar to the one shown as made in the late 80's but you can see your logo to check that out. Descriptions of logos opposite of pictures - Marks and Labels.

• Also, give your location as that is very important in value but be sure to ask if this is an insurance evaluation and how much (%) should you reduce for actual selling price.

If I were selling Id ask 20 to 25 dollars. People buying bar stools want a set of 3 to 4, and this is only one

Does it swivel? Do you know how old it is?

This is a quite popular Amish Style Paddle Back chair and NEW, (from places that retail this type of furniture) they are selling for up to $300 each.

That said, as soon as they are out of the store, they devalue (like cars) so in theory, yours is used and could fetch 1/4 to 1/2 of retail value (which would be 75-150 if I am doing my math correctly. It is possible if it is an old one, you may get more for it

Selling it online is a hassle..try Facebook Marketplace or LetGo, Nextdoor etc. Start high, and take best offer. If this style is not poplar in your area that will lower the value. This style is quite popular where I am so if it was in Pittsburgh, you may fetch the full 150.

I have seen similar stools for sale in local new and used furniture stores and they usually run $25-$35 used and not much more new.

You might try your luck on one of your local sites like Craigslist or USA4Sale as these sites usually have a big following. Set your price at $50(+) (with good pictures and description) and if it does not sell in a few weeks you can consider lowering the price.

If you think it is a true antique and has more value then you would need to have it appraised just to be sure.

There are several things you need to consider when trying to determine the value of your furniture.

1. First can you locate a name or brand mark anywhere so we can determine who made it.
2. Once you know who made it, it will then be easier to determine when and where it was made
3. You can then calculate how much it was worth when it was first made and depending on how old it is the value will have either gone up if its old or gone down if its not been to long.
4. Just in my opinion, it doesn't look like it would be antique but it does look like very nice wood. It seems to look like it has been taken care of well and in good shape. Im sure it once had a dining room table to go with it at one time. Most buffets I've seen such as that usually do. I would say its worth at least $500.00, but that is just me pulling a number out of my head. I could be way off or close to what someone would be willing to pay. I wouldn't let it go to cheap that much im sure of.
