Selling an Old Lawnboy Mower with Loafer Attachment?

Selling an Old Lawnboy Mower with Loafer Attachment - riding attachmentWe have an old Lawnboy from the 60s (or maybe earlier) with a "loafer" attachment. Does anyone have an idea where we might be able to find someone that would take interest in something like this?

Neat!! There is a whole community of aficionados of the "loafer" and they have channels on YouTube and sites on Pinterest. There are videos of people riding them and fixing them and just showing them off. The pins are the same kind of variety!

Since the value of this piece can be very low (like in the low teens up to the high hundreds)--depends on condition, location, supply, and demand why the prices are so different--you may want to reach out to some of the contacts from these people on both sites and talk to them about the best place to sell to get it front of the right audience and have them help you value yours since they will know all of the markers that make one, one price vs.

another price.

I can tell you best NOT to sell it in an eBay setting (too complicated to ship) and if you tried to sell it yourself on one of the local sites, people would nickel and dime you on the price.

They may suggest an auction house that specializes in farm and lawn equipment--I know we have one not far from me that does that. That way it could get in front of the right audience.

Because of all of the variables in why one gets a good price vs. one that doesn't, it is best to make at least 3 reach outs and get 3 expert ideas on the value of yours and where to market it.

Post back with an update!! This is so coo!! Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks! We are cleaning out my parents farm and don't want to see it go to the dump!

I would go to a local site like Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Letgo and OfferUp.

You could also try to sell on NextDoor. (You would need to sign up, but it's secure since everyone is registered via postcard with pin)
