for a deep-clean you could look at a flat room rate or a per hour rate

I would not do less than $20 an hour for a deep clean, possibly more - all depending on what others in your area are doing. Also be ready to give prospective clients an estimate on what it would take (IE a kitchen takes 4 hours, a 400 square foot furnished room takes 6 hours, etc)

or you could charge a flat rate per room IE a 900 square foot apartment charge $150 and then it doesn't matter how long it takes

I would charge by the hour.At least 25.00 an hour for deep cleaning,or charge per square foot.

First off check cleaning rates in your local area. This will depend on where you live. Now you have three choices to charge your clients, You can charge by the hour, flat rate, or by the square foot. If you are charging by the hour then you should charge $20 to $25 an hour for your services. Square foot is a bit different and you will need to figure out the square foot in the room and charge accordling for this one.
