This picture was taken in Paris Ontario, at a pond that's full of colour and nature's wildlife. I regularly take my walks with my dog on the trails here. This butterfly is a Spicebush Swallowtail, which is just one among many that show up to share their beauty!

Butterflies Are Free (Spicebush Swallowtail) - beautiful mostly black butterfly against a hot pink crepe myrtle bloom

I wanted to share this photo of a butterfly with a pretty hot pink crepe myrtle flower. The butterfly is a spicebush swallowtail. The photo was taken very quickly as these butterflies do not light on anything very long; they are fluttering on by.
