Storing Homemade Hair Masks?

I made a hair mask with banana, olive oil, and honey. Can I put it in the freezer or refrigerator?

Some places suggest that you store this in the refrigerator in a tight sealed container. They say it can stay there up to 6 months but I feel this is way too long because you are using fresh bananas and they do tend to smell bad after a few weeks. I have also read that storing this in the freezer can make it last a bit longer. The only problem is defrosting this and freezing it again when you want to use it. If you want to store this in the freezer store it in single size serving containers that way you won't need to defrost the entire container each time you want to use it.

You can do both, it last much longer in the freezer, and taken out when needed. Here is a link- www.allrecipes.com/.../

Why not try making single use packs, date the packages and place several in the freezer and several in the refrigerator to see which way is best for you?

I'm only saying this because homemade items are never exactly the same and you may have more of one item in one batch than in another batch.
