Troubleshooting a Janome Memory Craft?

The screen of a Janome Memory Craft. My Janome Memory Craft 9459QCP has stopped working after the needle bent during my Free Motion Quilting. I have turned it on and off several times for periods of time, and I still get this message. It will not raise the needle. Is there a way to reboot the computer system?

We cannot see what message you are receiving but it does not matter as the only advice I would provide is please, please do not try to resolve this problem without an experienced person's input.
This is a very expensive computerized machine that can be really messed up if 'unknown' adjustments are made.

You can try contacting Janome but if they do not help you can try sewing forums (they usually try to help quickly).

Quilting boards can be lifesavers when working with machines like this: You will have to join but you will never be sorry you did (free).

They can help with anything so, please, give them a shout and see if they can help.

Are you sure you wrote the correct number of your sewing machine? There is no such sewing machine Janome Memory Craft 9459 QCP, but there is Horizon Memory Craft 9450 QCP. I think you have 9450, not 9459. I can see inscription "Horizon" in the photo. One of the features of Memory Craft 9450 QCP is Free Motion Quilting media.rainpos.com/.../9450_features_benefits.pdf.

So, I think you have Horizon Memory Craft 9450 QCP.

Write what is indicated in the message, as it is impossible to read it in your photo (because poor quality of the photo).
Perhaps you can find the code for this error here: lesporteslogiques.net/.../Error-Codes.pdf. But detailed diagnosing of such machines is very difficult and may require contacting the Janome Service Department.

I found Instruction Book for Horizon Memory Craft 9450 QCP www.janome.com/.../inst-book-9450qcp.pdf
The needle breaks Cause:
1. The needle is incorrectly inserted.
2. The needle is bent. - Change the needle.
3. The needle clamp screw is loose.
4. The needle is too fine for the fabric being used.
5. An inappropriate presser foot is used. - Use the correct foot.
Check if you replaced the replace needle correctly. The instructions tell you how to do it correctly.
The machine does not run Cause:
1. The machine is not plugged in.

2. Thread has been caught in the hook race.
3. The start / stop button is used for ordinary sewing with the foot control plugged in.

Your sewing machine is expensive, better contact the Janome Service Department.
