Up-cycled Clipboard - pages clipped to back and note pad peeking out of pocketThis clipboard is primarily made from a cardboard envelope/folder and shopping catalogs. It is a cute up-cycled clipboard with lined paper for everyday notes.

Total Time: 1-2 hours

Supplies:

Up-cycled Clipboard - paper triangles
 

Steps:

  1. Use shopping catalogs or old magazines and cut assorted triangle shapes.
  2. Up-cycled Clipboard - cut triangles from scrap paper
     
    Up-cycled Clipboard - more triangles
     
  3. Ready to glue down triangles. Have fun puzzling the pieces together.
  4. Up-cycled Clipboard - begin glueing them to folder
     
    Up-cycled Clipboard - continue
     
    Up-cycled Clipboard - leaves spaces for background color to show
     
    Up-cycled Clipboard - keep adding
     
  5. When you come across dead ends, or if a triangle does not fit - you can cut down the triangles. Repeat until you are satisfied with your creation.
  6. Up-cycled Clipboard - cut smaller triangles as needes

  7. On the reverse side of the folder, I used scrapbook paper and cut to fit. Then secured it down with glue.
  8. Up-cycled Clipboard - sheet of scrapbook paper for back

  9. I have a lot of spiral notebooks left around the house. I prefer to use loose paper so I cut the spiral with cutters.
  10. Up-cycled Clipboard - cut wire on spiral notebook
     
    Up-cycled Clipboard - separate and remove paper
     
  11. Secure the paper with binder clips.
  12. Up-cycled Clipboard - clip pages together
     
  13. Back to the folder, I cut the flap a little closer so it could be easily tucked inside the envelope.
  14. Up-cycled Clipboard - use paper cutter to trim flap

  15. You are now ready to clip your paper to the cardboard folder. Plus in the side slot you can put paper documents, a sticky pad, or notes. It is easy to detach paper, or rip paper out after writing.
