The finished upcycled stool. In our neighbor's trash with a broken leg. Cost of project: free. I had fabric and paint and glue on hand and it looks like a new stool for my shabby chic bedroom I have been decorating. If I hadn't snatched it, it would have gone to the dump!

Supplies:

fabric
staple gun
spray paint
wood glue and clamp

Steps:

I took the seat off of the frame and repaired the broken leg using wood glue and a clamp.

When the glue was dry, I spray painted the legs and base of the stool to give it a fresh look.

Using a piece of fabric I covered the existing top of the stool and stapled the fabric to the underneath side. Then, I reattached the top to the frame of the stool.
