Using Lists for Organizing

I'm a big list user. I have an Excel spreadsheet on my computer with tabs. I have a list for my movies, cookbooks, kitchen items, books and more. I get this habit from my mom! We "love" using the movie list for when we spot the $5 bin at Walmart or when we go to after Thanksgiving sales and find cheap movies. Even better, now that we have smart phones, we can import that list onto our phones instead of taking a 10+ page each when looking for movies.

I keep a list of cookbooks for when I find a good deal, I can see if I have it or not. A list for kitchen items so I don't waste money on items I have.

Mom and I also collect S'More Christmas ornaments as well. We have a list for that too for when the new collection comes out, we can see what we have and don't have.

I have a kids' list as well. This is for books, toys, puzzles, games, and more for when I have kids. I went through all the totes of my stuff from when I was younger and have a list of everything. That way when I have kids, my mom and other people can see what books they already have so no duplicates are being brought.

I also have lists of recipes to try, new movies to see that are coming out in theatre or DVD. I have many more lists. Keeps life organized.
