Using Shampoo as a Carpet Stain Remover

A carpet cleaner picking up soapy water from the carpet.Put 1/2 shampoo, 1/2 water in a spray bottle, spray the stain, let it sit for a minute or two then scrub lightly with a rag or brush. Most stains you encounter will come out!

It's very important to make sure all of the shampoo is removed from the carpet so that any residue left behind doesn't attract dirt. You can accomplish this by using a carpet or upholstery cleaner using plain water. Go over the area until you don't see any suds being sucked up by the cleaning machine.

If you don't have a carpet cleaner you will need to flush out the stain using towels and clean water.
