Hi! Are you in Canada?

One of the museums there has a whole section about vintage Canadian TVs and their history. Perhaps they would be willing to purchase it or you could donate it.

This is the link I found:

www.historymuseum.ca/.../tv01eng.html

Here is their contact info:

www.historymuseum.ca/.../

That said, if you are trying to sell it, it will be hard to give you a value TODAY, because I cannot find a like sold example to give you.

Value is what someone will pay and right now I can't find any that are either currently listed or recently sold. It is also about supply and demand, and I am guessing from experience the supply is VERY low but the demand is the variable.

I know from my research and travels, that in Canada this seems to be a beloved brand, their advertising materials (vintage) still hold value (meaning people LOVE to collect them).

You could put it up on one of your local selling venues for a crazy price--like start at $1000 an see if you get nibbles. You could keep dropping it until it sells.

Even better, since it works, see if a consignment/antique/vintage shop would sell it for you since they could have it running to show it works.

My last suggestion is in some markets the parts fetch way more than the whole. So if you took it apart and sold off all the working parts, you may fetch a decent sum. eBay is one of the biggest venues for selling old parts like this.

Right now, there are no TV parts for this brand up, but their video game parts (machine innards) are fetching decent money. You can see this process in action by putting in the brand name and the word parts into eBay's search engine and then clicking on COMPLETED/SOLD auctions.

Post back what you decide!! You have a neat piece with probably more historical value based on the brand name than anything...but there are people out there that love the brand, so that may translate to money for you!!

Best wishes!!
