This is a popular pattern! You could try to start high at $100 and take best offer which could be as low as $10. It is all supply and demand. The piece is sold out at Replacements.com so they could be in short supply.

Be sure to package it very, very well, and double box it, don't let the top touch the bottom in transit. It is super fragile and you want to be sure it gets to the person in one piece!

Looking at eBay's sold listings of Homer Laughlin teapots the value does not sound very promising.
Asking prices are just prices a seller would like to receive for their items but in reality have very little to do with value as only a sold identical item represents value and since it has been difficult to find a 'sold' teapot in this pattern value is hard to say.

Does this mean your pattern is more rare and more valuable? Not necessarily as many of the teapots listed for sale may only have one or two in the pattern listed at one time and they are not selling even at low prices.
You can look at HL teapots that have sold and get some ideas about what people are actually paying even if your pattern is not listed.

I would suggest you contact Replacements about buying your teapot just to see if they are interested and what price they may offer. That would at least give you a starting point as you can estimate that whatever price they offer will be about 40% of the retail price.

If you decide to sell you can always start at a higher price - $90-100 - with best offer considered and add cost of shipping. If no offers after several weeks/months you can lower the price and wait again.

If you are in a hurry to sell this teapot it might be a good time to do this one. In the last several years the price of china has dropped s much and it is not worth much at all. Before china was a collectible and every family had at least one china set and sometimes more. I know one of my grandmothers had 4, the other 2, and my mom had 4. Today households don't own china sets like they use to because they are bulky and hard to store.

They do take up a lot of room.

The current price for one of these teapots is around $10-15 right now online. This is the normal amount of money a person can sell this item for. You can try to list this for around $20 and see if anyone will give you an offer on this item.Just list it for that price and say best offer.

Hi,

That is a very pretty teapot! I was shopping today and saw a teapot, which was very pretty and it was forty dollars.

I know this teapot would bring in more than that. I would, as suggested earlier, ask for more than you think you will actually get.

Thank you for sharing! I love teapots. If I had more room, I would have a collection of them.

Have a blessed day!

These are not that expensive. Go to eBay, filter items that actually sold, and you will have a good idea of what people will pay.
