Normally encyclopedias will only sell if they are 100+ years old. The reason is that the internet has all the new updates and t hese books are considered outdated. You will be very lucky if a person will buy them from you for a $1 each. You may be able to get around $25 for the full set. At times people are looking to replace one or two books they have that were damaged. Maybe you can sell them this way as replacement books.
Unless an encyclopedia is over 100 years old, it is not valuable. Donate it and take a tax deduction.
Encyclopedias have more value when they are more than 100 years old. This set not going for more than $50. Maybe through auction/bid could get a better price!
