I found a few apprasial but they are not current and the last one I did fine was back in 2011. Therefore the price of this is not valid today but it can give you a good idea about the value of your item. I am going to quote what they said so that you can understand completely what you are looking at.
"If the trunk has been painted this lower the value of the item. In this case the value would be 100 to 150 dollars. Dome tops sell at higher prices than flat tops. This has something to do with the fact that the same pricing relationship existed back in the days when everyone bought trunks - dome tops (camel backs, hump backs, whatever you call the darned things in your neck of the woods) were more expensive, by about 50 cents, than flat tops.
As for this company I did find some information but it had to do with the Interstate Commerce Act and this company. I don't think that would help you much but it did talk about the wood and shipping items in these types of containers.

Antique/vintage steamer trunks seem to have held their value much better than many other pieces of the past and sometimes the collectors will pay even if the trunk is not in the best condition (not really beat-up condition of course).
I believe the piece of wood with the inscription 'American Window Glass Company' is a piece of wood that was used to repair the side of the top. It appear that it is not a 'perfect' fit but pushed in to hold the top together.
The old trunks had markings and numbers on them but from wear and tear over many years all of this one's have probably faded away.
There are experts that can tell who made the trunks just by examining them but it would probably be expensive to consult one of them.
There are a lot of antique/vintage trunk forums so if you really wish to know more about your trunk (most forums do not discuss value) you can submit pictures and ask questions as they may know who made your trunk.
