Steps:

  1. Remove all labels from spice jar. Use Goo Gone to remove sticky residue. Let dry completely. Make a mixture of Elmer's glue all and water so that the glue is slightly runny. Print off design and cut out. Place glue on the surface of the jar and lay decal on top of glue. I also put a design on the lid. Let dry.
  2. Cleaning off any old residue from the jar.

Adding a label to the top of the jar.

Adding the label to the jar.

  3. Paint two or three layers of the glue all/water mixture on the decals, allowing 30 minutes to dry in between coats. Paint the remaining sides of the jar giving the jar a cloudy look
  4. The empty jar before filling with candy.

  5. Fill it up with candy, mints, etc. Mine has a violet flavored candy since I was going with the Valentine Violet theme.
