Visting Voodoo Doughnuts (Portland, OR)

This edgy doughnut shop originated in Portland, OR. They now have 7 locations: 4 in Oregon, 1 in Colorado, 1 in Texas, and 1 in California. They have tons of fun creations such as the Voodoo Doll (complete with pretzel stake and jelly "blood"), the Grape Ape (grape dust and purple sprinkles), the Pot Hole, and the Tangfastic (Tang powder and mini marshmallows) just to name a few. Just be warned, there are a few naughty ones too.

Voodoo Doll Doughnut

They have raised yeast doughnuts, cake doughnuts, and even a few vegan doughnuts. There is definitely something for everyone, even if you are strictly a maple bar kind of person.

They also have lots of fun merchandise from t-shirts and stickers to underwear and belt buckles! One important thing to remember is that you should expect a line, especially at peak tourist times!

Voodoo Doughnuts (Original Location)

This location has an awesome neon sign and glittery bricks outside. The store is quite small so you will join the line outside and wait your turn to go inside, so remember your umbrella if it's rainy. But during your wait, you will have time to enjoy their custom stained glass and other quirky things around you.

Once inside, you will get to view all of the different options in the rotating pink display case. Then they will pack up your yummy treats into one of their big pink boxes, for you to take them home or eat in your car if you can't wait!

Voodoo Doughnuts Too

This location is across the river from the original location and has its own unique look, including a huge mural on the side of the building. It's in an old fast food building and has some limited indoor seating. I found that this location is also a little less busy. They offer the same doughnut options though!

Once you pick out your doughnuts, take your big pink box and enjoy!!

They had some neat delivery vehicles parked there, that my son absolutely loved! I would say this one is a little more kid friendly too.
