I just adopted a rescue puppy. They said he is a Lab mix. I see Pit in him, but some say no. I am just wondering if he looks like anyone's puppy. He is 16 weeks, and weighs 18.5 pounds and is about 15 inches at his shoulder.

Yes my vet was thinking possibly border collie, lab. , possibly pit or possibly doberman. He said he probably had two mixed parents. He is already very loyal just after 3 days but still very fearful of new things.
Interesting! The vet's usually know and they are looking at things that we can't see in photos, like his teeth, jaw lines, bone structure etc. It is often difficult to tell a pup's genealogy just from a photo.
Boarder collies are so awesome and smart, as are dobies! He probably gets the loyalty and his smarts from both. Labs love water, so maybe that is where he gets that trait.
Poor thing to come from a hoarding situation. Hopefully he will get over his fears as he ages.

I see a little Boxer/Lab in him! He will be tall and lovely!
He looks like he is a Lab and Terrier mix. He is adorable and will grow up to be a rather large dog I think.
I believe he has some Lab but with a puppy it is sometimes difficult to tell - just as your vet stated - 2 different mixes for parents and no way to tell what mixes each parent had.
I think his predominate breed will show up more when he gets a little older but I feel sure it will not make a difference in how much he is loved.
I ran a rescue for years, my best guess is Lab/Terrier mix, with a heavy dose of adorable.
