Today I saw a snake just in front of the door of my terrace. Does anyone know the type? Is it dangerous? It was beautifully colored bronze and so attractive that for a moment I was thinking to catch it!

Being the photo is of poor quality and cannot distinguish pattern, scale, and head details apart it will be hard for anyone to really tell. Details such as length, eyes, etc. are important. My guess is it is a eastern worm snake or thread snake. Please provide more details if possible such as your location, size, eyes and anything else you can remember.

It is a thread or flowerpot snake. It is harmless.
