Whirlpool Ice Maker Spills Water?

My band new Whirlpool in door ice maker pours water out the ice chute of the door. It has made half a bin of ice, but now seems to not eject the frozen cubes and puts more water in the tray, overflowing out the door. Does anyone have any possible solutions to our problem?

If your refrigerator is new if comes with a warranty. If you work on this yourself you will void the warranty. Call the company and they will fix it.

Call the store and ask about their return policy. We learned the hard way if you try to fix a new, still under warranty item yourself, you can totally void out the warranty. Best to let them take care of it.

Hope it all works out easily. It is possible they missed a step in the installation process and did not tighten something.

You say brand new - still within warranty period?
Did you install your Whirlpool or did the company send someone to install it?

This may make a difference in how your warranty works so be sure to read the fine print.
But - by all means call and have them do the repairs so that your warranty will remain in effect. It may be simple but if you fix it you may still have trouble in the future and then it may cost you full price for service and repairs.
