Why Is My Dog Snorting?

My dog all of sudden starting snorting like she could not breath or had something up her nose. She did this for 2-3 minutes then she stopped. Later she did it a couple more time is something wrong?

Is your dog a short nosed dog? Like Pug, Boston Terrier, Bulldog, etc. Our pug mix does what you're describing and it's called "reverse sneezing". How they come up with that name, I don't know, because it's not like sneezing at all. Anyway, I just rub her throat a little and she stops quickly. It stops on its own, too. Scared me when we first got her and she did it but reverse sneezing is nothing to worry about. Although if your dog seems in distress, tell the vet about it. Might be something else.
