It's been a while since I last posted a question, and a lot has changed. I've moved schools, and made amazing new friends. I'm turning 16 in exactly 29 days, and I have the basic idea of what my party will be, "friends" themed!

It's going to be 90s - early 2000's for the dress code and I'm super excited! The only problem is I'm stuck on what to do. I've been searching online for decorations and food choices, and I just can't find something that sticks. If you guys have any ideas please let me know.

Thanks

You can have a game to see how well they know you. Ask questions like what color your room is or what is your favorite flavor of ice cream. The one who gets the most right gets a prize.

My 16th birthday is in September and I'm really stuck on ideas of what to do. I don't have a very large group of friends; there would probably only be 7 of us altogether (boys and girls).

I don't want it to cost too much money, but I would like to have a good time :)

I'm not sure of your budget. A lunch out is always nice. If you can't afford that, lunch at your home would be fine, too.

My 16th is in October and I'm really confused on what to do, I've considered a bonfire, but I don't want all my friends to get really bored and our garden isn't that big either. I'm thinking of inviting around 25 girls and guys and I don't want to spend a lot of money.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know :)

I have 2 kids whose birthdays are in Oct. so we've had a lot of parties.

Or if you are adventurous, would you consider a costume party since it's October anyway? That could really be fun!

Perhaps if you asked your friends to help you create a Haunted House or Haunted Yard and invited the public to come as your friends all dress up to 'entertain' visitors? If you have a local church or library or even school who might want support, you could even use their facility and let them help promote it. You could charge a small admission and give the collection to your favorite charity! That way your birthday would really be memorable and fun and you would have done something good for your community as well!
Have a great birthday!

hi, my birthday is in October aswell and I was just coming to get ideas off here but last year I had the same amount and we went shopping out of town and then we caught the bus home and when we got home got dressed up in heels and dresses and went out for dinner then we watched movies until we fell asleep. The day after that we went to a local show and the weekend was a blast!

I am having a sort of dance party at my house and there will probably be about 100 people there, guys and girls mixed. I have a DJ planned for the dancing, and all my food is planned as well, but I can't think of any other activities as dancing for hours upon hours can be boring. Please help?

How long do you plan on having your party last? Actually you must have a really large house and a lot of money to spend to have a party like this. When I was in high school, and we had a party in somebody's house, we played records and danced, also played board games and/or cards.

I agree with redhatterb-a large number of attendees for most homes! A DJ is a good idea but, of course, people will dance only for so long.

Your main problem is that you have so many people in one place that trying some other form of entertainment is rather difficult. You can consider a scavenger hunt but need several people to handle the arrangements, hunt items, places, etc. Other possibilities are hiring entertainers such as comedians, actors, etc., for performances.

Have the dj stop and do challenges. Like funniest pic, and send it to this number to be judged later

I am turning 16 in March and I want to have a big party, but as of right now I can't think of a good theme for my party. I'm afraid anything I choose might be a disaster and I just can't decide. So if you have any good ideas I would love to hear them. Thank you.

Because it's your party, you should choose a theme that you like. Whatever you are into right now is what you should do. Are you an artist? A dog lover? Are you crazy about fashion or a particular movie or sport? What kind of music do you like?

The possibilities are endless. Maybe a costume party where everyone comes as their favorite movie star, for example. When my niece had her sweet 16, she was into fairies, so her party was themed in fairies!

I always liked scavenger hunts. Make yours for charity. Divide your guests into groups. For example, Can have five groups of three or three groups of five. Give each group a 'shopping list'. They have to go to family and friends houses to find the stuff or can knock on other doors explaining what they are doing. List can be anything you might find in a grocery store, such as a can of tuna, packet of instant cereal, box of jello, nothing perishable.

Tell the groups to tell the givers the food is going to your local food bank or mission. Then when get back to your house, you all can sort the items into bags. Then everyone can have cake and enjoy some music or a movie.

I will be 16 in May and I'm wondering what to do to celebrate. I want to do something big, 60-80 people maybe. Perhaps something like a disco, I also like singing and make up. I am very glam and like to dress nicely, rose gold, and glitter. Please can I have some ideas?

My 16th birthday party is in the winter/fall weather so it's not hot at all. My best friend and I always have a joint birthday party because our birthdays are only 4 days apart. She's not really girly and I'm tom boyish. We would like a party that's not really expensive and that we could do at night, but we don't have many ideas beacuse of the weather and not really expensive please! Since it's our 16th birthday we still want it to be special.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

This sounds cool! It would be cool if you could have some sort of dance party. YOu would need someone's house, or an available event place (even in a church or school), a DJ or someone volunteering to do it, food, cool lights, etc.

Itcould be very affordable if done right.

For future reference, a good theme would be a competition theme, or an open mic theme, or for everyone to go to the movies or bowling.

By a competition I mean, you separate the guests into groups and then you all compete for a prize. Either something silly like a relay or 3 legged race or a crafts contest or a costume contest or even a cooking contest.

As far as open mic, either go to one inn a coffee shop in your town, or host your own.

Other things are a nice bonfire, a scavenger hunt, a pizza party, or a night out on the town.

I always loved skating. You could go rollerskating, or even ice skating if you have an indoor rink. It is inexpensive and good for both sexes.

I'm turning 16 at the end of this month and idk what to do. It's my first party where I can invite guys, but that can only happen if the party isn't at my house. My mom doesn't trust guys so she wants to do something that's cheap, but fun, where she doesn't have to clean up afterwards.

I was thinking a pizza place with games singing, etc., or going to Santa Monica, bowling, or ice skating. I need help please and thank you.

It's my 16th soon and it's a school day so I only have the weekend to do something, before the event or after. I have 2 friendship groups, and they have never really mixed before. So I need ideas for my birthday with them separately. One of the groups would be a day doing something and the other could be doing something then like a sleepover/slumber party after. They're both mixed boys and girls.

I'm turning 16 on April 22. I'm having a party with boys and girls, and it's very low budget. I want to do something at a park. I don't want it to be a scavenger hunt, as some of my friends have scoliosis (curved spine, very painful), and they can't move around for an extended period of time. I'm not very girly either. My parents don't want a bunch of people over. It doesn't have to be at a park. Any ideas? Please, nothing expensive. Thank you!

What about some sort of board game contest, or card games? Are your friends into that sort of thing? You might set up a tournament or similar with games like Trivial Pursuit or card games like Hearts. Does anyone in your group play guitar? Music for a singalong always goes over well, I think. Could you do charades? I hope these suggestions give you some ideas.

Play triple dog. Where the birthday girl picks who goes first. The girl who is picked must pick a girl to dare them. If they fail to complete the dare they could challenge the person who dared them to complete the dare, it that person successfully completes the dare, the girl who didn't do the dare must shave her head, or something crazy.

Get dressed up with a bunch of your friends and go out to an expensive dinner, have a hang out session at your house. Just decorate everything super cute, rent out a small little house and have your party there with decorations, music, food, and a photo booth.

There's so many things you can do. 16th birthday parties don't have to be a massive thing. Get your friends together and celebrate your birthday doing what you want to do. The party isn't what makes you have a great birthday, it's the people you choose to be around that makes all the difference.

When my daughter turned 16, we had a hair. One of her cousins is in beauty school & came to help. The girls came with clean hair & their brush or comb, then they did each others hair. That was all they did. We gave them stuff from the dollar store-make up bag, hair towel, etc. WE provided pins, new combs, curling irons, etc. for them to use at the party.

Just after that, one of her friends had a party at the park. They did silly games and had hot dogs & such, then the cake. They had boys & girls, just kind of a hang-out thing.

Another idea is to have a pizza party. You make the dough & the kids load it up. The boys can roll out the dough (Muscle contest). Then swim or group dance or something simple.

What a great Idea! Our Church would let us use the kitchen and we could have a "cook off" Girls vs Boys...good healthy "inexpensive" fun. Maybe we can make our own cake too!

I need help coming up with a birthday party theme for my 16th birthday. It's going to be a boy-girl party and I don't really know how to make it enjoyable for the guys. I've thought about doing an Alice in Wonderland theme or Clue theme, but I don't think they fit my personality. I would like it to be based on a popular movie or scene, but I'm too childish at heart for the other two. If you can help me please let me know. It needs to be fun for the guys and the girls!

I am turning 16 in less than 2 months, and I have no idea on what to do. I would really like to do something unique, but my birthday is in December. I really don't like most winter themed parties, and I am fairly athletic.

Not many of my friends are as well, but I would to do something active. None of us are really girly. And I am planning on maybe 5 or 6 people at the most.

Will you have snow? If so, how about tobogganing? Skating and skiing require skill to really be fun, and can be expensive if you need a ski lesson (and then it will be fun.) What about laser tag? That might be totally different and is active without being too difficult.
