How can I buy a nice TV on a very tight budget?
Deb from Terre Haute
It depends whether you want brand new or can take a used one. For new I would recommend Sam's Club or a scratch and dent store. For used try freecycle.... some people can afford to get brand new before the old ones fall apart.
Check out the thrift stores such as the GoodWill or the Salvation Army Store. If you find a TV which is affordable, make sure that you test it out first before you buy it.
Repair shops sometimes sell TVs that people have left and not picked up for the repair fee.
YARD SALES! I bought 3 for 5.00 apiece. I still use them. They were in excellent shape.
With so many people upgrading to flat and plasma screens - many old (perfectly usable) larger televisions will be put out on the curb for the trashman.
