I'm turning 14 on the 14th of May, so it is not that far away and I need a birthday idea. I'm not really allowed one this year, but I might be moving schools at the end of this year so my parents are allowing it. It needs to be something non-expensive, but also super fun. My mum doesn't really like the whole shopping centre scavenger hunt thing. But she suggested horse riding, a great escape thing, bowling, or dinner and then a movie. She also said no sleepovers. So can anyone help me? If you can't think of any do you think any of the ones my mum suggested would be good?

P.S Where I live May is autumn so it's too cold for a pool party and I've already done ice skating so yeah please help.

Thanks TAESMLP xx

Well, you could just go to the mall with your friends. See a movie and then have dinner with your family.

Indoor (at-home) spa day with manis and pedis then do karaoke! I'm suggesting this because this was what I did for my 15th and it was such a blast.

Neon and disco theme. if you have a house use the basement, if you don't rent a place. get the stuff form blacklight.com. Have a stand where you have the food at, and a couple of tables, music, neon balloons at the top of the ceiling, and etc.

I'm an emo tomboy and I need birthday party ideas for the 6th of January. I'm inviting around 6/7 girls and my house is too small for them to have a sleepover.

Cheers.

What do you and your friends enjoy doing?

Is your house big enough to accommodate the group to have a game party (my nephews liked to have Wii game nights which were enjoyed by girls and boys).

If not, do you have a skating rink near by or a trampoline park? The one trampoline park in my town has a small party room where you can have cake or snacks if you reserve it.

Wishing you a lovely January birthday! Post back what you decide!

I'm turning 14 at the end of December and I really want a birthday party with around 25 girls. It's obviously too cold outside for anything outdoor and I'm not much of a shopping or cinema fan.

I can't spend more than £150 on everything (food, decorations, etc.). Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do?

Have the girls maybe bring their favorite movies, or find out what movies they like and get the DVD's, (they don't cost very much nowadays), have the girls also bring what type of snack they like, (just in case maybe someone has allergies, and limited choices), that way everyone is happy. For 14, just a few balloons should suffice, and some matching paper plates and cups. Let them choose the music and have a dance off or something. Also see if they like games (board games, or console games). My daughter loved it when I did this for her on her birthday at that age. I hope you have a great one!

At this time of year, an indoor party is a must. However with 25 friends, it is hard to ask your mom for a sleep over or even a spa day or night with your friends. Decorations will eat up the budget and if you cook it will make it cheaper on food. So if you wanted to go with a bowling party or even a skating party you may not have enough for this one.

I would suggest keeping the decoratins down to a few dollars at the most. Dollar stores are great to help out on this one. Now you can use the bulk of the money to buy food or even make food. I think a DIY Pizza party s a good way to entertain your friends, feed them and have fun. You can get some cake decorations and make your own cake.

Now the rest is just planning on what to do with your time. You can do board games, music or even movies while they are there.

My 14th birthday party is combined with my best friend and it is in 2 months. We have about 50 people coming and it is a Scouts party because we do scouts.

We have lots of scouts coming and we would like to know a really cheap way for our food and decorations. Thank you.

Happy birthday a little early!!

My favorite party when I was your age was to do a clothing exchange with my friends. Everyone brought an outfit (including jewelry and shoes) and we all traded. This works when you and your friends are all around the same size (parental permission is a must). The little kids could be the runners...helping bring items to try on and assisting with a modeling session when you each have a final outfit.

Other suggestions are....

How about a cooking party where you pick something you love (like tacos or cookies) and you all work together to make it. The little kids can measure, the older kids work knives and the stove.

Or what about a community service project...where you all spend the day helping at an animal shelter or senior center.

If you did the senior center, you could take an easy craft that would work well for the youngsters and olsters.

If you did an animal shelter...the little kids could help wash out bowls or carry small loads of towels while the older kids take on more complex tasks.

Have fun!! Enjoy!!

My birthday is in early July and I wanted to invite about 6-9 people. I only want to spend money on decorations and food because I recently had a big party and spent a lot of money. I've already went to a hotel, the lake, and the movies. I've also already had a hula and soccer themed party. I was thinking about going to the river where there's a rope swing and rock to jump off, it's very private and cheap, however it could be a little dangerous. There's glass from high school parties, and there's a small current. Other than that it could be very fun with music and food. Should I go for it? I can't find anything better.

My birthday is also coming up and my 5 friends that are really close are coming over. I've got a big tent and we're going to sleep in my backyard! We will have some candy while watching a movie and then the next day I'm having a small proper party with a bit of cake and candy. If you have a tent I suggest that because you're not spending a lot of money on sweets and stuff. I hope this helps.

Please help me I would really enjoy it. Thank you! Oh yea, I don't want anything childish. I want it to be like a teen thing and I want to look back at this when I am older and say, "Dang that party was lit!". You know what I mean.

I'm turning 14 next week and I still have no idea what to do? I'm having a sleepover and then a party during the day; both at my house. I'd like to invite 3-5 girls and my recent boyfriend.

Some of my extended family are coming, but they're a lot younger than me and I still want them to have fun! What can I do for teenagers, toddlers, and parents to have fun?

Toddlers are fun. Teens love them. Have a craft and serve their cake in ice cream cones. Their parents will appreciate the little break and will take care of them while you have some activities for the older guests.

You can do a treasure hunt, pinata, or even musical chairs. Toddler love musical chairs and you can do this in age groups. I would find games that are fun for you and that you can also have the toddlers play with your help.

My soon to be 14 year old daughter wants to have her birthday party at home - again. Last year we had pizza, they hung out and after the boys left, the girls watched movies during the sleep over. This year my daughter wants the same. About 8 girls and 6 boys. Any suggestions for activities? They may not want to do anything that I plan, but I want to have a few things available. Pictionary maybe? Thanks for any ideas.

Steel Bingo is so much fun (: you get a lot of cheap fun prizes and wrap them with plain paper. Then you put them in the middle of the people circle and roll two dice. If you get the same numbers on both dice, you choose 1 prize. You keep passing the dice around till there is no prizes left! Then you set a timer for 3 minutes and roll the dice again, but this time you can Steel other peoples presents! When the timer beeps what you have in front of you is yours! Its so much fun :) With max. of 6 or 7 people!
