Just let it wear off. Give her a bath a day for three days, and I'll bet it will be all gone.

Nail polish remover? Be sure to wash her skin with soap and water afterward.

actually I ended up trying baby oil. I had most of it off by the next morning. The baby oil breaks it down and loosens its hold while keeping it from drying and itching so bad. Good stuff. Nail polish, even the acetone free stuff is too hard on young tender skin.

So Thank you and with this little one on the loose, I'm sure there is still a whole ton of stuff I will be getting an opportunity to learn.

Ok this picture is just too cute!!! It reminds me so much of how fast time goes by. As the mother of a freshmen in college and a senior in high school, I just want to say how precious each and every minute is. Please enjoy this beautiful baby.

We just had this same problem yesterday. My grandson is in a wedding in two days and covered himself and his bedroom wall and carpet with red nail polish. His Mom brought him to me so she could try to clean up the brand new carpet. I started researching the internet for ways to clean him and was startled to read that putting him in a warm bath for 15-20 minutes would work..

It was amazing as soon as we put him in the water we started seeing flakes of the nail polish in the water.

My daughter just now did this. She looks a lot like the little girl in the picture, hehe. Thanks for your input. I will be trying each and every one of these.

Oh my goodness! I am so thankful for finding this! My little brother got my red fingernail polish while I was cooking breakfast and there was like a huge splotch on his face and he has it just everywhere! So I posted on Facebook "how do I get fingernail polish off a babies face?" and everyone was like fingernail polish remover but I'm not stupid I know that will irritate his skin so thank god I'm not the first to have this problem.

I used non-acetone nail polish remover to soak my fingers to remove polish and burnt my finger tips. I was removing a basecoat, plus 2 coats of polish and a top coat what did I do wrong? For 3 days my tips felt numb. I thought I had problems.

I have acrylic nails for the first time, but like to change my polish about every 3-4 days. I did what the nail tech said and got non-acetone polish remover. It's only been two weeks, but I am not going to apply nail polish till I figure out what the heck happened. If you have an answer please share. I hope everyone has a great holiday.

I have never soaked my nails to remove the same number of coats of polish that you stated. All I have ever done is put the polish remover on a cotton ball and use that to remove the polish. I use a seperate cotton ball for each nail. I had acrylic nails several years ago and was never told to soak them. I also used non-acetone polish remover. I was told to soak them when I wanted to remove the nails.

I can't remember if I was told to use the non-acetone or regular polish remover, for this process, but what it amounts to is I have never had the problem you mentioned. After having the professionally applied nails, I would sometimes buy a kit with the nails and glue in it and apply acrylic nails myself.

It sounds to me like you may have an allergy to the remover. I'd check with your doctor before doing it again. Also before going back to the salon, because that's what they use too.

But the proper way to remove the polish is not by soaking them but by wetting a cotton ball or pad with the remover and wiping your nails with that.

Redbatterb, to remove the nails themselves, use acetone to soak your nails in. And it takes a while too. I just did mine a few days ago. Had to soak them for about 30 min. Then I let them dry good. Used an emery board to file off as much of anything left as I could. Then soaked some more, about 15 min. this time. Kept doing that till I had gotten off as much as I could.

Now I'm letting them "rest" for a couple of months before I get new nails put on. I do this twice a year.

It's a lot of work and time consuming but it's a lot less painful than getting them removed at the salon, and it's a lot easier on my nails too.

You are not supposed to soak your fingers in it. You just put it on a cotton ball and remove the polish just like you would with any other polish remover.

if you want to remove the nail polish then use a buffer or nail filler to file on top of the nail... if you want to remove the acrylic then place vaseline around your fingers and soak them in acetone... and trim them down soak them again and pick it off....

Never heard of "recipes" for it, but you can add any essential oil to any water for most any thing. Watch out for dark colors of oils staining white nails or polish, and I'd use the oil lightly, regardless. Is this what you had in mind? Pumpkin fragrances/aromas are mostly cinnamon anyway, right? So, don't rely on the powdered cinnamon, and use the oil instead.
Good luck. : )

Spiced cocoa and coffee sugar scrub
1/2 c sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tsp ground coffee
pinch of cinamon and nutmeg
2 tbsp oil--canola, sunflower, olive what ever you have

In a dish mix together sugar, cocoa, coffee, and spices, drizzle in the oil slowly until you have your desired srub consistency. Apply to skin in circular motion to exfoliate and moisturize, rinse well

There are a ton of sites out there to get the recipes...if you are a licensed manicurist or nail tech, there are also a ton of magazines for it! If you are not aware of this, MANY spas and salons are now doing "special made" pedi's and mani's for their clients...I do a Champagne & Chocolate special in February!!

If you run out of cotton balls to remove your nail polish with, use a clean tampon! Hold it like a pen, dip it in the nail polish remover and easily wipe nail polish away! When the end gets too dirty, snip the end and reuse. Keep it to clean up smudges around the nails afterwards. Since you can hold it like a pen, you won't ruin your other nails.

with the high cost of tampons... I'd rather use toilet paper/ paper towel etc.

use a babyfood jar and a sponge with a hole cut in the middle about the size of your finger. pour in the polish remover and use it like one of the fancy removers. When it gets clean it out and reuse.

It's easy to make your own cuticle sticks from a bamboo skewer you may already have in a drawer in your kitchen. Just cut and sand down the cut edge and it's ready to use.
