You have been finding lots of neat things!

There are so many of these German figurines on the market. If they were made of celluloid they would be much older (and therefore more valuable).

They remind me of Handel and Gretel. I am not sure if that is who they are--that was my first thought.

With the marking on the bottom, I would be willing to guess they are from the 1980s or 1990s or later (you would have to find out when Germany started these warnings--in the US I want to say it was in the late 1980s).

My best guess is they were tourist figurines--probably found in airports and neat shops where tourists frequented.

Unless they have marks other than what is on the bottom, unfortunately, unless someone has the exact set and they know the history, you may never figure out their provenance.

You can try putting them on the doll site I shared with you. That is an international site and someone may have sold them in their shop back in the day! That is the beauty and one positive about the internet...the collective mentality hive of all things past!

You have some amazing replies and thank you so much for everything!
The truth is I find so cute things here for so cheap, and I so love the beauty of porcelain, I started my mini collection some months ago and it's been increasing rapodly!

That's why I post so many times, because I just found this site. Thanks again!

Look for the manufacturer mark on the back of the head or neck then use that to look up the doll to get references about it

These are mass-produced figurines. They are not worth much at all
