Recipe for Silver White Cake. Sift together dry ingredients. Add shortening, milk and flavoring. Beat egg whites and 1/2 cup sugar. Fold into first mixture. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

I have very dry skin, especially my feet. I use very little vegetable shortening in cooking and had a can of shortening in the pantry. I remembered reading somewhere that vegetable shortening is very moisturizing.
