I would just like to wish one and all a very Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless. Editor's Note: Thanks Theresa. The staff at ThriftyFun would like to wish all of our readers a Happy Thanksgiving as well. I hope everyone has a fun and restful holiday.
Ms. Sofi (Standard Poodle)
Ms. Sofi is 11 months old and is a Standard Poodle - (20 inch shoulder). I got her 3 weeks ago , gratefully a friend, who realized more attention and action.
Cook a Turkey Breast Side Down
Do you feel that the turkey breast during the holidays is dried out? I have learned to roast the turkey with the breast side facing down. This way, all the juices constently marinate the bird.
Elephant Stew (Joke)
Cut elephant into small, bite-size pieces. This should take about 2 months. Add enough brown gravy to cover, cook over kerosene fire for about four weeks at 465 degrees F.
Leftover Turkey Pot Pie
Combine turkey and potatoes with sauce and pour into a deep oven-proof casserole. Season to taste. Make up a recipe of noodles *(egg noodles or eggless noodles) and arrange over a turkey mixture, making sure noodles do not overlap.
Roasting Turkey Bones for Soup Stock
Turkey soup is a thrifty, nutritious way to take care of that left over bird. There's always something left! Remove the meat from the bones, as soon as possible to preserve the flavor and quality.
