fried cheese rolls

Cheese RollsA perfect snack for the kids this weekend. They were looking for something wrapped and crunchy and they love cheese. So I took some Shangai wraps and a bar of cheese. In bars and clubs these are served with beer or wine. They call them cheese sticks or cheese rolls. The price is twice the actual cost of the ingredients. Kids love them too.

Potato Pepper Omelette on plate

Potato Pepper OmeletteThis is a delicious little omelette that helps you get your veggies in. Panfrying the potatoes first gives them a nice crisp texture on the outside, but soft and fluffy in the middle. I like to lay the peppers rings on the pan first so when you flip the omelette onto a plate, you can see the pretty colours.

A plastic tub with a large hole chewed on the top.

Getting Rid of Mice in Your HomeEarlier in the spring, we heard a rustling in our walls and crawlspace. We started inspecting our home, looking for any entrance holes. Sure enough, we found a nest of garbage and insulation behind some stored tiles with a handy path behind our furnace. The rodents had chewed a hole in the back of the container we stored our dog food in. It was entirely covered from view by the container stacked above.

Identifying an Antique Table - black and white photo of the unique legs on this table

Identifying an Antique TableI inherited this table from my dad some years ago, and am working on redoing it now. It is 35" in diameter, and has a pedestal base. The age is uncertain, but it was in my home when I was very young, and so I know it is at least seventy years old, but could be older. The underside is marked, Crowley, LA. That makes sense since I was born in New Orleans.

Value of an 1847 Webster's DictionaryI would like to ask if you know the value of this edition of a Webster Dictionary. I think is the 1847 edition a little bit after his death. I am not familiar with old book prices. The front page that says the publisher before the preface is missing. Also I cannot read the hand-written letters. I would really appreciate if anyone could type them down!

Identifying the Engine in an Older Sears Push MowerI have an older Sears push mower. The model is 917.380310. I'm trying to determine what engine it actually is. It says "Eager-1" on one of the shrouds, but that seems like a "nickname." I have heard it may belong to the Tecumseh family, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?
