Uses for Costco Black Plastic Food Trays?For several years we've been Costco members. We mostly purchase food items from them, especially prepared meals sealed in vacuum bags and also packaged in sturdy black plastic trays that have no lids. I've been using the trays as desk drawer office supply holders (the trays are the right size for pens, paper clips, little note pads, etc.), but I now have accumulated way more than I need.
Restoring a Cool Gel Pad?Two years ago, I purchased rectangular cooling gel pads to insert into my pillow cases to keep pillows cool for summer sleeping. When I wasn't using the gel pads, I stored them lying flat on a shelf. They were never damaged or punctured but this summer, when I tried using them, the gel flattened or may have evaporated, if that is possible.
Protecting Outdoor Herb Plants from Squirrels?One of my favorite cooking ingredients is fresh herbs. I've grown many different kinds over the years. All have proved hardy enough to withstand the outdoors year round, even insects, here in Georgia, but they are usually mangled by reckless squirrels, even when I've grown them in large clay pots on our deck.
Buying a New Washer and Dryer?I would really appreciate your thoughts about this dilemma. In 1992 I purchased a washer and dryer set; the washer has rusted around the bleach dispenser and bottom of framework (near floor). I want to purchase a new set, but am skeptical due to so many consumer complaints.
