Making Wood Chips From Firewood?I have a whole bunch of old firewood that's too dry to burn and a serious lack of wood chips. I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not it's a good idea to try tossing them into a wood chipper.

Keeping My Elderly Mother from Driving?This is a random question for this website, but I'm starting to get a bit desperate. My elderly mother has had her license revoked, but refuses to stop driving. (She's prone to strokes, disorientation, has severe mobility problems, and horrible reflexes). We'd take her car away, but she lives alone and not having a car there would make the house look abandoned. She refuses to move to assisted living.
Borax For Poison Ivy?I've heard that poison ivy hates boron-rich soil, and that an easy way to kill it off and prevent it from re-growing is to add borax to the soil. Has anyone else heard of this? And do you know if it would hurt other plants as well? I have three 100+ year old maples that I really don't want to kill. I have tons of poison ivy, and this seemed like a relatively cheap and safe way to get rid of it. Any ideas?
White Porcelain Top for Vanity?I'm up to my ears trying to remodel a bathroom. I recently bought a sink vanity at a certain big box home improvement store without a top. I didn't like the ones they had, and no one was willing to help me, so I got mad and left. Now I have a topless vanity, and can't find a top to go on it.
