A small metal container with a tiny scoop.

Identifying a Metal Container?I got this at a swap meet. It appears to be metal and has engravings. The lid lifts up and inside was a tiny scoop. Maybe it is some kind of sugar container?

Some dying bottlebrush bushes.

What Is Killing These Bottlebrush Bushes? We have had these bottlebrush bushes in our backyard for about ten years. This past year they look like they are slowly dying. They have been watered the same way for the past ten years through our water sprinkling system. A week ago my husband put fertilizer on them but it hasn't done too much. I was thinking maybe we need to prune the dead away but I don't know if that would help. Any suggestions what is wrong with this bush?

A vintage silver butter knife.

How Old Is This Vintage Knife? This knife belonged to my mother and she probably owned it during the 1940's. I don't know where she got it. I just know she had it for a long time. The imprinted information on the knife says "Rogers Mfg. Co, Warranted 12 Dwt." It appears to be silver or silver plated. I was just interested in the age of the knife.

Dark brown spots on a white surface.

Is This a Bug?We recently purchased a mobile home and are in the process of cleaning it. There are brown rust-like spots on the walls and even in one of the cupboards. It is a darkish brown color. We think it might be some kind of bug or maybe mold? Any ideas? Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

A wooden bookshelf.

How Old Is This Bookcase? We purchased this bookcase that was owned by a 90 year old man. The person who sold it to us thought it was an antique. He said it was probably 50 or 60 years old. It is solid wood. Anyone have any ideas how old this might be? An interior designer thought late '60s or early '70s and didn't think it fit in with the 50s era decor at all. I'm thinking maybe possibly from the '40s.

Identifying a Desk or Sewing Caddy?I have a portable desk or sewing caddy with handles. It looks vintage. It has small 1" holes (about 10) across the bottom above the two small drawers. The holes are about 1" in depth. What are these used for?

How Do You Dissolve Rock Around a Garnet?I found some garnets at Garnet Hill near Ely, Nevada. We have been using vinegar, a wire brush, nail files, etc. trying to remove the rock around them so we can use them for jewelry. Any ideas on how to dissolve the rock without damaging the garnet would be appreciated.

How Old Is This Christmas Decoration? On the bottom of the boot it says: Lefton's Exclusive Japan

A quilted comforter on a bed.

King Size Comforter? We purchased this comforter five years ago. The tag is worn on it. I can't remember where we got it and want to buy another one. Any ideas how to go about trying to find a replacement?

A tall multi-drawer chest

Age of a Lou Regester Lingerie Chest? How old is this Lou Regester lingerie chest? We purchased it from someone who said it was from the 1950s or 1960s. The label on the inside drawer says Lou Regester, but no place where it was made nor model number. However, I am from the Phoenix, Arizona area and saw that there was a company based in Phoenix and Tucson, so the dresser could have been made here.

A small wooden table.

Information on Wooden Table?I purchased this little table today at Goodwill. It appears to be antique. The inside has a velvet lining. The top lifts up and there is storage under it. Only the bottom drawer in the front is an actual drawer although it looks like there are two drawers.
