Determining Best Prices for Meat and Vegetables? How does one know what is a good buy for meat? My mother-in-law will say, I'm going to go get a ham, because it is such and such per pound, or chicken breasts a such and such a pound. Does it depend on where you live? What about veggies?

The Different Types of Onions? Can anyone explain the difference between white, yellow, purple, and any other colors of onions? I'm especially interested in how strong they taste, what recipes the different varieties would be appropriate for, and so forth.

Putting White Christmas Lights On a Live Tree?OK, Christmas is almost upon us. Can anyone tell me how to put white lights on live trees in the yard so that they look professionally done (not tackily thrown up there)?

Paint Technique To Lighten a Dark Room?My fairly small bedroom is painted a beautiful, but unfortunately, pretty dark blue - sort of royal blue. I would like to keep the color, but maybe lighten it in some way - maybe some sort of glaze rag rolled on or something. Anyone have any ideas that aren't terribly expensive?

Moss Growing on Bricks?I need to clean moss and mold off an outdoor paved area. They are clay and every winter they get mossy. It is a back-breaking job to scrub them clean.

Solution for a Very Invasive Weed?I have unfortunately acquired a terribly invasive weed. I have no idea what it is. It looks like a fern, has black pods along it's length, grows in clumps, prefers areas heavily mulched but basically took over large areas of my yard in late winter/early spring.

City Water Has Been Bad For My Plants?I have a problem. We live in the city and use city water. Apparently the water is high in something, calcium maybe, because all of my plants get a white crust around them that they didn't have when I lived in the country and used well water.

Information About a Cork Floor?I am thinking about replacing my kitchen floor and perhaps using cork flooring. Does anyone have any experience, pro or con, about this type flooring?

Dry and Brown Leaves on a Loquat Tree?I have a young (3') Loquat Tree planted in my backyard. Its leaves are turning dry and brown despite sufficient watering, and may have some "munch markings" on the edges. I have 2 other Loquats in my front yard receiving similar sun, shade, and water and they are doing fine.

Pyrex Bakeware in Different Shapes?Does anyone know whether or not you can buy Pyrex or other glass bakewear in shapes like hearts? My favorite recipe is best baked in glassware rather than metal, but I need a shape other than square or rectangle.

What kind of tree is this? (Bald Cypress?)My son was recently in school in Mooresville, NC. I noticed during the move a beautiful cedar or arborvitae tree that I would love to have. It was pyramidal, green (of course), but what made it stand out were the yellow-tinged lacy ends to the branches.

Painting Techniques for Covering Flaws With Paint Or Texture? My kitchen could use painting but the walls aren't in the best shape. Is their an easy and of course inexpensive way to paint or texturize it so the flaws are less noticable? Thanks so much for any ideas!

Swedish Cream Molded Salad?Swedish Cream Molded Salad. I am looking for a recipe. It is a white gelatin salad, creamy and smooth, no fruit, but has an almond flavoring to it. It's not too sweet, and I think it's called a Swedish cream molded salad. Does anyone have this recipe or one similar?

Improving the Flavor of Brown Rice?Does anyone have any ideas for making brown rice more palatable? I have tried adding bullion to the water and different seasonings, but nothing has worked so far to encourage my family to like it.
