"Stained Glass" Recycled Windows

This is a new use for old windows. They took about 2 days to make. Paint the window frames and let dry. Be creative and paint the glass with stained glass paint.

Once dry, glue the marbles to the glass then let the glue dry.faux stained glass window

This is a very cool project idea, you clearly had great fun designing these windows. They look so effective!
Thanks for sharing this, Dorothy.

I love this and am going to do it on my front window. I hate the "lookie lous" who walk by but want my cat to have a "peek hole" so I think I will get some picture frames and do this.

Very cool, thanks!

I love this idea it is just what I am looking for, what kind if paint did you use to make sure it is weatherproof. Also wondering what adhesive you used on the marbles?

E6000 glue. Spray with clear sealant when done.

My stained glass paint was not waterproof. Does anyone know where i can find stained glass paint that can withstand the outdoor elements?

You can always put a clear top coat to seal. Spray on may work best. The problem I have is that Ive now purchased THREE sets of glass paint and NONE of them are translucent like it claims to be.

If ANYONE know what I can purchase to get this effect, PLEASE tell me. Thanks

Here's an Amazon link that might be helpful. You can probably find it at your local craft store too.
