If you need just a little padding in your shoe where there might be an irritant, place a panty liner in the shoe. Works great!

Hah! I tried this today - I came online to see if anyone else has thought of it! They are a perfect fit for shoes, they are extremely comfy and what with the sticky backing there is absolutely no slippage!
Back in 1970 when i was in the high school
drill team, we would also march in a few parades.
My feet were killing me after awhile so the function
I taped Kotex pads to the bottom if my feet before
putting on my boots. I was the only one still smiling
at the end..(yes, I shared my secret!!)
