Keeping Pet Food Away From Mice

We have always used dry pet food for our dogs, but find that mice like feasting on it as well. To avoid the mice and keep the food from getting stale we store it in a plastic garbage can with a snug lid. This has worked well for us whether we've kept it in the basement, sun porch, or garage. Bugs and critters are kept out and the snug lid is hopefully locking in the freshness. Try to purchase a garbage can that is closest in size to your bag of dog food.
