Gothic Masquerade Party?

I am planning my sweet 16 for February 17, 2009 and I want it to be a masquerade theme, but with a Gothic/modern twist. I want every one to wear masks and I have chosen the colors to be black, red, blue, and dark purple. I like black and red roses. I need some ideas!

I'm also planning a Gothic birthday party. I'm having a seventeen, I didn't have a sixteen. Anyway, if you would like some really beautiful real roses you should look for watermelon roses, December crimson, leonidas, grand prix, or my favorite, black bacarra. I myself chose to have the black bacarra roses for my party.

As for black roses, you should look for black silk roses. They are better than plastic dollar store ones because they look real. If you spray them with a rose scented perfume they will hold the scent for some time.

Wow, I think you've already got some really great ideas, down to the roses ! You can either use real roses or fake ones (craft store) and spray paint some of them black.
