Cheater Quilt in Embroidery Hoop

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 969 Posts

I love the older craft ideas like this. Mine is really simple. Take some cheater quilt, the kind that looks like it was sewn together, but wasn't, and bind or cut a square out and put in the hoop.

Sometimes, another cool thing to do is to find someones' almost done project, and put a needle and embroidery thread in the work, then in the hoop. It looks like you started it, but when people ask why you didn't finish it, it's a conversation starter.

In a Lola cartoon once, she did a sampler that read "Patience is a Virt..", so you get the funny now you can understand the idea of the unfinished art.

Source: Saw this in a house I "sat" back a few years. Thought of it often. The cheater quilt is up above the computer.
