Fixing Damaged Paint on Walls?

I had a hanger that had a sticky post on the back of it to stick to walls. The hanger fell and has ripped a hole in the paint, which is latex paint. I need to cover this spot up which is about 5 inches by 5 inches, and the paint is latex. Can anyone help me?

Some hardware stores sell little bottles of sample paint. Take a chip of the paint and see if you can match it. Then just use a little spackle if needed to smooth out the hole, then cover with the new paint. If you can't find the little bottles, you can just ask the hardward store to sell you the smallest pot, which is prob a quart. They can color match any color. You need a sample about the size of a postage stamp.

Spackle! It is magic, comes in all sizes (small is all you need and it will come in handy for other patching jobs) and it so easy to use. You might need to stir it up first, then apply and smooth out. When it is dry just lightly sand and apply your paint. Good luck!
