If you're going on a car trip and know you're going to be driving through an area with a lot of bugs (like the south), spray some Pam cooking spray on your windshield and radiator grill to keep the bugs from sticking. You will have a much easier time washing them off!

Cooking spray on a windshield? And still be able to see? I don't think so! This is the craziest thing I've ever read lol!
pam on the windshield. not a good thing to do. anybody can see what it looks like sprayed in a glass pan. just imagine trying to see thru that.

I invested in RainX and this does a wonderful job on the windshield and the front of the vehicle!!
Maybe you have to buff (wipe) the cooking spray onto the windshield so just a trace remains? Wonder what happens if it then rains, it is ok to still see & use wipers?
A couple years ago I bought a used travel trailer in a state 1500 miles away. I drove up to it, made the deal and prepared to make the return trip from Spokane to home in Corpus Christi. I'd read recommendations to use Pam to keep bugs from sticking to the front of the tow vehicle and the travel trailer, so I gave both a good heavy coat of Pam. When I got home, I went to wash off the Pam and bugs from the front of the vehicles. It was a disaster. If anything the Pam made bug removal nearly impossible.
