I always like to use an over the door shoe keeper. This can be adjusted for children and each animal or toy can be placed in separate compartments.

These over the door shoe organizers are so good for a multitude of uses. I not only have one in my closet but I have one attached to my garage wall. It holds auto supplies, tools, rags, gardening items, you name it. These are one the the cheapest organizational items on the market.
I have one on my bathroom door since I have no cabinet space, it holds razors, soap, q tips and the like, and one in the basement which hold pet supplies like flea drop treatments, pet brushes etc. So I agree, we sure can find good uses for them and they don`t take up space! Linda H. Omaha, N.E
