Part 2

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • Milk

Now place part 1 on stove and bring to a boil, and drop the dumpling batter, a spoonful at a time, into the boiling mixture. Cover with lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes. Can be served with cream, ice cream, or whipped cream. Can be changed by using other berries. This is a very old recipe!

My Mom would make this from memory, so she could never tell me(I'm not a "dab of this & a pinch of that") how to measure the ingretients. This was one of my favorite summertime memories. Thank you.
