I only use duct tape. Keep it covered until it comes off.

Well the easy way is to go to a Dermatologist who will take it off with no trouble, however,if you don't choose to do that you could try Compound W sold over the counter in drug stores and Wal Mart.Just follow the directions and it doe'nt sting.Or you could try home remedies like duct tape.Supposedly keep the tape on the wart and it should be gone with in 2 weeks.

I had one on the side of my hand. I ignored (forgot about) it and after about a month I noticed it was gone.

Check out this site. There are several home remedies, but it looks like the apple cider vinegar one works the best.

There's also one involving super glue that looks interesting. Good Luck!

Sorry guys, duct tape does not work. See this article: Study: Duct tape wart cure overstated www.usatoday.com/.../2007-03-19-duct-tape_N.htm

Duct Tape for Warts? Maybe Not
Study Casts Doubt on Duct Tape as Home Remedy for Warts : www.webmd.com/.../removing-warts-with-duct-tape-may...

My then nine year old son had a very large wart on his thumb. We were told by the doctor to try duct tape, and I followed the instructions to the letter: Keep covered with duct tape for 6 days, on the seventh soak and rub the wart with an emery board, then repeat. We kept duct tape on his thumb for 4 weeks! All that happened was that the "core" of the wart fell out but it never did go away.

I ended up insisting that the doctor freeze it off. It was gone in one treatment.

Now some folks will say it works and another study found the best success with "new" warts. So it's your choice.

Personally, I think this is one time when the cost of a doctor visit is worth it. I'd rather have it over with in 1 treatment than spend months fiddling with it. But trying duct tape will not hurt you (unless you are allergic to it.), you might be one of the 6-10% that this works on.

I hope you are wart-free very soon!

Thank you so much for all the informative feedback!
and YES, I have been to the doctor, who has tried to freeze it 4 times! That is the reason that I turned to this site. I will try the vinegar and also the duct tape.

Hello,
My hubby had the same problem. It was not a wart but a cyst. We went to the eye doctor and he removed it. Please see a doctor. Good luck
