Disposable Cameras for Auto Accidents

Keep a disposable camera in your glove compartment. If you're in an accident, get photos of the scene - it may help with your insurance claim.

Excellent Idea. I'm going to do it. Does anyone know if the heat and cold will effect the camera or its film?

This is an excellent tip! We were in an accident about one year ago and happened to have our digital camera. My husband wisely thought to snap a few pictures. These pictures have been vital in proving our case!!

We were rear-ended and the insurance company was balking at paying for repairs...we now have a disposable camera in our car emergency kits. I hope it NEVER happens again, but just in case...

This is a good idea, about a month ago we were driving in the city (nyc) and a cab hit us while trying to change lanes (no one was hurt thank God!) and my father took the disposable camera and took so many pictures. It was key evidence when we submited our claim!

This is an excellent idea. Just make sure to change the camera every year or so. The heat and cold can damage the film or in the extreme cases the heat can melt it.

I recommend using a disposable electronic camera. No film to go bad, you can see the results, easy to download to your computer to help documentation, etc.
