Invest In Oil Sprayers

Instead of buying cooking spray all the time, invest in a oil-sprayer. It's basically the same thing as the spray cans, except you can refill it with whatever oil you prefer. Plus, there's no aerosol or chemical propellant (great if you're allergic to soy).

You can even make flavored spray, which is usually expensive, for much less. You can find the sprayer with kitchen gadgets.

I find that I can't use the bought aerosal oil spray cans because the stuff makes me cough and cough. My DH's best friend in high school used it to "get high" and the Pam coated his lungs and he died. Please be careful if you use the aerosol cans. The refillable oil sprayers are what I use and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Hi

I have used an oil sprayer for a long time. I bought an olive oil spray bottle years ago when it was on special.
I had looked at oil sprayers, but some were quite expensive.

I bought the olive oil one cheaper than the oil sprayers themselves and it had olive oil in it.
All I do is buy olive oil in the bottle and keep on refilling my sprayer.
So, if you want an oil sprayer, keep an eye on the oil ones, complete with oil, and wait until they are on special.

I saved quite a lot by doing this on the price of the other sprayers, plus it came with the oil.

God bless

I had the same problem as valleyrimgirl with the aerosol sprays. I coughed and coughed. I rarely buy it or use it. When I do use it, I hold my breath until done spraying then leave the room, breath still being held and breathe once I get in clear air. Please don't use this around little kids.

My daughter bought me a sprayer at the Pampered Chef store. I fill mine with olive oil as it is healthier than vegetable oil. I found that this works great for grilled cheese sandwiches. Instead of spreading the bread with butter or margarine, I put the cheese between the slices of bread....spray one side, put it in the hot skillet with that side down. Then spray the side that is up. Brown and turn. Makes a much crisper grilled sandwich, and healthier for you, too.
