ParvoBusters Remedies for Parvo?

Has anyone dealt with ParvoBusters? I have two puppies (6 months and 4 months) with Parvo. Tyson (6 months) has full blown Parvo and I have been keeping him alive with Gatorade, Pedialyte, and Pepto and an antibiotic shot the vet gave him.

Dodi, tested negative for Parvo today, but I am positive she will soon begin the symptoms. I took her to the vet and gave her fluids, antibiotic injection, and vomiting injection to be safe. I have started her on Pedialyte, Gatorade, and Pepto. But I am desperate and really want to try that stuff on Parvo Busters. Please give me any positive or negative feed back.

It would be too late now for your pups to get this but there is an antibiotic which works for my pups (I'm a breeder) called Tylosin Tartrate. Its actually for chicken coccidia but used in kennels and catteries for this. You can buy it from KVvet supply or Lambert Vet supply.

It's aprox. $40 for the container. You use very little, 1/4 tsp for a 100 lb. animal twice daily so you can see you'd use a very scant amount for a small pup. It's safe and if you catch them early enough, it works.

I would really consult a vet with such young puppies. If they don't already have parvo, it would be best to get their vaccines ASAP.

Two of my baby girl Chihuahuas had parvo and I took them to the vet and he pretty much did the same thing urs did, except he said it would cost 1200. for him to treat each one of them. So my husband which is the family doctor and vet. so to speak used kids amoxicillian three times aday .5 for sm. dogs and when that ran out he used fish penn. and he mixed chicken broth with pedialyte and we used a syringe to feed them several times a day.

My vet had me call him four days later cuz he didn't think they would make it, he was surprised to find out that they did he told me that if they made it for four days then they should pull through. I hope this helps u, My baby girls looked and smelled like they were dying they couldn't eat or get up. But thanks to my husband and alot of prayers they recovered fully and that was four years ago. I wish you luck and God Bless. Paula from MO.

I just recently lost a puppy to parvo. Two days later I took in his liter mate to be tested and sure enough the test came back positive! He showed no signs of the virus yet but had stopped eating the previous night.

After I got home from the vet who had injected my puppy with Baytril and Cerenia, I researched the virus and found the parvobusters site. The vet had sent us home with Clavamox, Panacur and Cerenia. I can not tell you how helpful I found that site to be!

Later that day I purchased Parvaid, and kept my puppy on 6ml's of Electrolyte Concentrate hourly (all day and night), 5 drops of Parvaid hourly (all day and night), Clavamox (Amoxicillin) twice a day, cerenia pills once a day, daily injections of anitbiotics and vitamins and minerals. Total my family and I spent about $300 but my dog seems to be getting better and is finally running and playing 5 days later!

Do what you have to but above all keep the vomiting and diarrhea under control and keep that puppy hydrated, it will ave his life! Hope this helps =D

I woke up yesterday morning but not to the normal routine of the morning. What is a puppy who is about 4 weeks old maybe 5 weeks old therefore he has not had his shots yet mine to you, who normally it's an aggressive happy eater especially first thing in the morning not show any interest whatsoever in his morning milk. Nor in anything that I offered him. Now he recently had an older sister had her first set of shots, and to be completely honest with you I was ignorant as to how often a puppy needed to get shots. And she was too far gone before I realized she was sick. The people who had her before me let her to believe that pooping was bad I'm guessing cuz she was pooping in the house so I did not notice the diarrhea but I have noticed if it was bloody. With the other two Pups running around they all kind of eat out of each other's bowls in all honesty like kids,it's on somebody else's plate it's better than what's on my mine, benefits the same thing. Needless to say by the time I realized what was going on I took her to a vet to find out that there is no payment plan it's Sunday and they charge you more on Sundays trust me, I scraped I could friends family help me and it still wasn't enough in the end they gave her a little bit of fluids leading me to believe that she could pull through oh, and some antibiotics that she didn't even live long enough to take. She died at home with me, next to me. I had fallen asleep without meaning to I guess stress along with lack of sleep head caught up with me.She crawled as close as she could get to me before that. In all honesty I don't know where she came up with the strength because she could hardly move. Needless to say I bleached my whole house I bleached my backyard I bleached my front yard I threw away so much linen and towels and clothes and anything that I felt might be contaminated beyond the washing machine help I threw it away and I'm talking I bleached and disinfected everything like crazy. It has been a week last Monday that she died. Early Thursday morning so it has been a week and 3 days, and now my baby boy my youngest is sick. Because he and he wakes up first thing and eats I knew something was wrong right away. He has only vomited a handful of times since yesterday morning. He has only diarrhea like poop two or three times since then, before that he was pooping soft poop but not runny, also he has not had any blood mixed with his vomit or his poop. No not being over what I faced with my girl I was on it. He is still hanging in there, as I could I got some Pedialyte it started giving it to him every 30 minutes two 5mg syringes full first I was giving him the antibiotics cut into fourths that had fun for my girl cuz she was 35 lb to his whole 6lb, and instead of the anti-nausea medicine they gave me what you supposed to eat 30 minutes after you take it when a dog's not eating that to season dumb, so instead of that I've been giving him Pepto-Bismol all through a syringe I've been shoving it down his throat but I've been making sure he swallows as much of it as possible. After my husband got off work he took me to get to that cordial silver stuff and he still sick don't get me wrong he's not cured but I do believe he's on his way to being better. He took a couple of bites of his food without it being forced upon him he willingly got up and looked for it a couple of bites not much but still he ate food on his own. Did he went and took a drink of his milk oh, and he took another drink of milk. He also took a few drinks of water once again walking over on his own to get a drink. We have been keeping the middle puppy away from him because he has not gotten sick we found out about how often the minister just in time so he's caught up on them. we're not going to press our luck so we're not letting him be around the baby right now. What is driving him crazy, and for the most part the baby he hasn't really noticed that. But it has a moment of eating and getting a drink he did notice that he was missing his brother and he started crying at the door for him, wanting to play. He has still been taking the Pedialyte and Pepto-Bismol stuff, and I've given him a couple syringe fulls of puppy milk. He doesn't like any of the syringe pools of anything that he hates the puppy milk the most. I'm hoping that I'm keeping him hydrated properly. He has it vomited since around 5 yesterday evening, and around 7 he had his last soft stool. I hope you had as long as I keep up this Regiment of Pepto Pedialyte fever feels like it's really high that you can make it through I really think he might. If anybody thinks from do you could possibly. Please let me know cuz it's the last thing I want to do I just everything I had to take her to the vet I'm telling you that they just told me what they thought I wanted you here took my money and sent me home with the dogs a new was dying and there is nothing that could be done to help her. I'm not going to lie and say that I'm not happy she was with me and in because I know that's what she wanted to she wasn't no longer scared so badly as if I wouldn't have been there with her you shouldn't have to suffer that bad. She got worse honestly after you gave her flu. She started vomiting constantly and had uncontrolled diarrhea. Which was who is the worst thing ever not to smell or anything like that it was the fact that she felt that going poop was bad thanks to the jackals before me. She started shaking to be a little time and effort to calm down I stay by your side what a good girl she was is this what you do with them to you until I know how strong he is and what a good boy he is but if anybody thinks I'm doing something wrong I'm going to bring them to me please let me know this may help or ADD hope 4 somebody else my hope is that he's going to make it
